Bookstore Terms

Terms of Sale: I make every effort to describe books fairly and accurately, and the description is of course guaranteed. Kindly note that when terms such as Very Good/Good are used, the term before the stroke describes the book, and the one that comes after it describes the dust-wrapper. Please contact me as soon as you can if you are dissatisfied with any item you receive, to arrange its return and a refund. Postage and packing (and insurance in the case of very expensive items) are to be added ... [More Information]

Shipping Terms:

Shipping Terms: e-mail colinsnowdon@onetel.com. These shipping terms apply to customers who buy their books through Abebooks. For UK buyers: When you order a book, a fixed amount (£2.95) will automatically be added by Abebooks for postage and packing. This charge will cover the cost of posting and packing items up to 2000 grams packed weight. If you order an item whose packed weight exceeds 2000 grams, you will be asked to pay a supplementary shipping charge. If you are not prepared to make the extra payment, the order will abort. Books are usually sent by second-class post, though slim, light items may be sent first-class. For all overseas buyers: You are likely to be asked to pay an additional amount to the default shipping charge if you order a heavy item. If you order a light item, a partial refund of the set shipping charge may be made when your order is processed. For European buyers: Books are always sent to customers in mainland Europe and the Irish Republic by air-mail. For overseas buyers outside mainland Europe: You may of course have books sent by either air- or surface-mail. A very light item (under 250 grams when packed) will be sent by air-mail even though you paid only the set charge for surface-mail. This is because the charge you have paid will cover both air-mail postage and packing.
