About Bookdonors CIC
Bookdonors is a not-for-profit social enterprise. 100% of our sales raise funds for charity, community and other not-for-profit groups and our own projects. Since October 2005, we have given over £220,000 to the organisations which supply our books. We are also a registered social firm: having an inclusive team of staff, volunteers & time-limited work experience trainees: 30% have a disability and receive support from team-mates, not carers or support workers. Over 90% of our team are people who have been long-term unemployed or never even had a job! We also distribute 1,000s free books each year to help literacy development in the UK & to projects in Africa, (over 60,000 since we started). We re-use if possible all the books we receive; if not, they are recycled. We are a member of the national voluntary sector's recycling network. We currently annually divert over 600 tonnes from landfill!
Bookdonors is committed to providing each customer with the highest standard of customer service. If for any reason you are not entirely satisfied with your order or our service, we will do our upmost to resolve the issue to your satisfaction.
If a customer receives an item that is different to the one described or that is clearly in a worse condition than that indicated, please contact us to report the defect or damage within 7 days of receipt of the item and we will either send a replacement or issue a full refund.
If a customer has ordered an item incorrectly and returns it to us undamaged and in a resalable condition within the returns timescale, the customer will be refunded the price of the book only, upon receipt of the book at Bookdonors. Please note Bookdonors are not accountable for the cost of return postage.

RETURNS TIMESCALE: Within the UK: 7 days Within Europe: 10 days Rest of World (Priority): 20 days Rest of World (Economy): 30 days - Orders are posted within two business days using Royal Mail: 2nd Class Business post within the UK; choice of Surface Mail (Economy) and Airmail (Priority) for outside UK depending upon total weight. Orders usually mailed within 2 business days using Royal Mail.
UK orders are sent Second Class unless First Class specifically selected. P&P cost is based on package weighing 2kg or under; extra cost will be charged if 2kg+.
European orders weighing up to 500g are all sent Air Mail. Extra cost will be charged if over 500g.
International orders are sent based on customer's choice of shipping, (Surface or Air). P&P cost is based on package weighing 500g or under; extra cost will be charged if over 500g.
