John William "Blind" Boone (May 17, 1864 - October 4, 1927) was a famous blind American pianist and composer of ragtime music. Boone played thousands of concerts throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. An amazing story of overcoming the odds of being blind, brought up in poverty, and the mulatto child of a runaway slave and a Union soldier. A book rarely seen in the first edition.
