"BellyFireBooks" is a one-woman online book business; it began in response to a job lay-off in the autumn of 2007. Although the lay-off was painful, it provided the opportunity for the fulfillment of a longstanding dream, that of having a business related to books. After working as a teacher and counselor of adolescents for more than twenty years, I have a "fire in the belly" regarding the importance of literacy. One of the greatest gifts we can give our children is a love of books and of reading. The culture that stops reading will certainly suffer.

Respect for clients is demonstrated by providing meticulously accurate book descriptions, by taking great care in packaging (some packages may not "look pretty" since we may use recycled materials for mailing - we will NOT use materials that could, in any way, compromise the safety of the order), by speedy shipping, and by resolving all customer concerns immediately. Shipping Terms:
BELLYFIRE BOOKS IS PROUD of its SAME DAY SHIPPING. Of course, if your arrives after the posting venues have closed or on a holiday/weekend, the order will go out the next business day morning. We aim to make our profits from the sale of books, NOT from overcharging for shipping costs. There ARE costs involved, however, in addition to the postage fee...boxes, bubble wrap, padded envelopes and other padding materials, paper for packing slips and receipts, petrol to get the mailings to the post office, etc. Because we want to be good stewards of the earth, we use clean, recycled shipping materials whenever possible. Please know, however, that NO compromise will ever be made in terms of protecting the book while in transit. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know that extra shipping is required. Generally,clean sturdy boxes shall be used to mail heavier, hardcover books.
