Brown Cloth. Good. Octavo, 299pp, 200pp. Well bound copy in later cloth, but retaining some or all of original titles on black and red morocco. Label on cover states "Secretary Of State." Old inked stamps internally of "Governor's Office State Of Louisiana." Both sections complete, but some of text block considerably age browned. Other pages brighter but with foxing. Binding tight. Some old notations in brown ink. Great old South content, including a number of acts concerning slaves in the section for first session of 9th legislature. This session was in 1828, but title page dated 1829. Name of former owner in old brown ink top title page of first section. Endpaper preceding first section with notes in old brown ink. One of acts refers to "tribute of gratitude" to family of Thomas Jefferson. Another act concerns expenses of a reception honoring Gen. Andrew Jackson at New Orleans.
