Review:
“The Moomin books make for both splendid bedtime read-alouds and solitary savoring.”—"Wall Street Journal"
“Tove Jansson . . . has a polished style, gentle humor, and an ever-fresh imagination. And her creatures, from the fussy Hemulen and Fillyjonk to cowering little Toft, are as delightful as ever.”—Zena Sutherland, "Saturday Review"
“Drenched in atmosphere . . . The highly subtle narrative is frequently pure poetry.”—"The Horn Book"
“Jansson knows as well as ever how to make the reader laugh; more than ever she underlines the sadness behind the smile. "Moominvalley in November" is full of . . . fun and tenderness.”—"The  Times Literary Supplment" (London)
“More fantastic than "Alice in Wonderland," more compelling than "Charlotte’s Web," and more mysterious than Nancy Drew.”—"The Midwest Book Review"
“A lost treasure now rediscovered . . . A surrealist masterpiec
