Neil Ansell spent five years living between the back of beyond and the middle of nowhere, on his own, with no electricity, gas or water and effectively only the wildlife around him for company. His dilapidated cottage, rented for ?100 per year, is so exposed to the elements that it appears to rain uphill, and so remote that you can walk for twenty miles west without seeing a single other dwelling. As the years pass he feels himself dissolving into, and becoming, just another part of the landscape.

Book Description Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. First Edition; First Printing. A NEAR As New copy. Looks Unread/Unused. FIRST EDITION, FIRST Impression with the correct printer's key = 1. In FINE Black cloth-covered boards with bright gilt titling to the spine. In the original publisher's near fine pictorial dust-jacket - one tiny mark - negligible. The d/j is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks As New. The only reason I've given the Book 'Near Fine' rather than 'As New' is because the page fore-edges are lightly 'toned' (but uniformly) as usual with the type of paper used. Internally NO Inscriptions or Marks. Black and white pictorial endpapers, o/w unillustrated. (xi) + (1) + 206 pp. "Neil Ansell spent five years living between the back of beyond and the middle of nowhere, on his own, with no electricity, gas or water and effectively only the wildlife around him for company. His dilapidated cottage in Penlan, Mid Wales, rented for £100 per year, is so exposed to the elements that it appears to rain uphill, and so remote that you can walk for twenty miles west without seeing a single other dwelling. As the years pass he feels himself dissolving into, and becoming, just another part of the Welsh landscape." . See Images; 8vo 8" - 9" tall. Seller Inventory # 119889
