About the Author:
Gwenda Turner was born and brought up in Australia. In 1967 she moved to New Zealand and studied graphic design at Wellington Polytechnic. She worked on a magazine for the New Zealand government, as a graphic consultant on Norfolk Island and ran herown handcraft studio. Since 1976 she has been writing and illustrating children's books full-time. She now lives in Christchurch, New Zealand.
