Between page 64 and 65 there are eight pages of black-and-white photographs. Photographic paperback binding with green and black coloured titles to the front panel and black-and-white coloured titles to the back strip. The author of the book grew up in Sydney in the 1890s. Her mother was of French extraction and thought by many of the day to be eccentric. "Her eccentricities seem negligible today but her recollections of life in early Sydney constitute an entertaining historical vignette."  from the rear panel blurb.
