"The Dictionary of Cell and Molecular Biology" provides straightforward definitions for over 7,000 terms in the exciting and fast moving fields of modern cell and molecular biology. It is aimed at students and professional biologists who encounter new terms in this expanding area. It includes features such as: 2000 new entries bringing the total to 7000 entries; obsolete terms have been dropped and old ones revised; wider coverage of relevant molecular and neurobiological terms; each entry has short, clear definitions that will be easily understood by people at all levels and from a diverse range of backgrounds; more comprehensive cross-referencing of synonyms and from the text; presentation of certain information in tabular format for clearer and easier reference; and new tabular material. This third edition is nearly double the size of the first edition. The content reflects suggestions and comments from readers and users of the on-line version of the second edition. It includes a handy appendices section at back of the book. It builds on the success of the first and second editions which were both highly praised and received many glowing reviews.
