About the Author:

Forsgren is a Professor of International Business at the Institute of International Economics and Management, Copenhagen Business School.

Professor David Ford is founder member of the IMP (International Marketing and Purchasing) Group, a body of researchers from eight countries which has carried out a number of large-scale studies into international industrial marketing and purchasing. He is also visiting professor at the University of Texas and a member of the internal board of advisers for the School of Business at Uppsala University in Sweden.

Hakan Hakansson is professor at the Nordic School of Management, BI, in Norway.

Lars-Erik Gadde is professor at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden.

Ivan Snehota is professor at the University of Lugano in Switzerland.

Professor Pervez N Ghauri

Pervez completed his PhD at Uppsala University in Sweden where he also taught for some years. At present he is Professor of International Business at King s College London. He is a Fellow of European International Business Academy. Recently, he was awarded an honorary Doctorate by Turku School of Economics and Management, Finland. Pervez has published 25 books and numerous articles. He consults and offers training programmes to a number of organisations such as; BP, Airbus Industries and Ericsson. He is Editor in Chief for International Business Review and Editor (Europe) for the Journal of World Business.

Synopsis:

The internationalisation of business has accelerated during the post-war period and particularly in the past decade. At the same time, research on international business has grown considerably. The early efforts in the 1950s have been followed by a vast number of research projects all over the world attempting to understand and explain the processes and problems of internationalisation. The aim of this book is to continue this task by providing critical perspectives on internationalisation and on internationalisation research.
