Book Description:
This will be a major revision of this Schaum's Outline. The pedagogy will be basically the same as the 1st edition which approaches the subject systemically and organizes it by stated objective followed by concise survey covered by solved problems and illustrations. A new chapter will be added: ``Genetics and Prenatal Development.'' A brief glossary of terms is proposed and the incorporation throughout of new terminology to replace ``tombstome'' terms by more descriptive ones. All terms in this edition are those approved by the Basle Nomina Anatomica (BNA), both in text and illustrations.
About the Author:
Dr. Kent Van De Graaff is a well-known and highly-respected author. For McGraw-Hill, he has written the best selling human anatomy text and a top human A&P text. He received his Ph.D. from Northern Arizona University.
R. Ward Rhees is a Professor of Zoology at Brigham Young University. He received his B.S. (1967) in Pharmacy at the University of Utah and his Ph.D. (1971) in Physiology at Colorado State University. He taught at Weber State College and has been a Visiting Professor in the Department of Anatomy and the Brian Research Institute at the UCLA School of Medicine. His research on sexual differentiation of the brain has been published in numerous leading scholarly journals and presented at national and international conferences.
