These days The Sixties Papers is used as a college text in history and sociology classes. Its strange to think that what was once so new and so revolutionary has become the stuff of history. But at least in The Sixties Papers you don't have to settle for revisionism or second thoughts or second hand analysis. My co-editor and I were full time activists and the documents that we reprint were written or spoken or drawn at the time and they had a major influence on that rebellious and passionate era.
