'SUE LAWRENCE ' began her career as cookery writer after she won 'The Sunday Times Amateur Chef of the Year' in 1990 and the BBC's Masterchef title the following year. Following her success in Masterchef, she has been one of the judges on both Junior Masterchef and Sainsbury's Futurecooks.

She writes regularly for Sainsbury's 'The Magazine, Country Living, Wine'
magazine, and 'Woman and Home'. She started writing for 'The Sunday Times' in 1993, and became their weekly columnist in the STYLE section in 1996.

Sue regularly gives cookery demonstrations at shows such as the BBC Good Food Show, the Royal Highland Show, and the Q-Guild Roadshow. Her television and radio appearances include ITV's 'This Morning', BBC's 'Junior Masterchef, Food and Drink', and 'Who'll Do the Pudding', and Channel's 4's 'Light Lunch'.

Sue is the author of six previous books. She lives with her husband Patrick and three children in Edinburgh, Scotland.
